Painless in PERU

Hello World,
The Zombie is back again !!! This time I am penning this blog from Peru .
By chance stroke of fate I have landed in Peru about 3 months back on an office assignment.

3 months is quite a decent time to contemplate and post some comments about this beautiful country.
The people here are quite convival and helpful albeit with the spanish tongue , it really becomes difficult to strike a meaningful conversation with them. These people are very helpful. Trust me .

The Peruvian food is unwittingly tilted for all things beef and pork. Pojo , the local name for chicken has become my diet of the day. Rice is the stapel meal for the average peruvians. This is in consonnence with us the Indians and specially the Bongs .

The people look very much like the average Indian. Their stature , built all resemble the brown skin of a Latino, very close to the Indian complexion. So we are at home here !!!

The confluence of the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountain marks the landscape of Lima the capital city of Peru. The weather is pleasant significantly around the year. The winter months are marked by mists and fleecy drizzle and chilly winds. the air is fresh and the sky is blue. The grass is green and the birds are colourful.

A treat for people who love adventure sports and foods !!! So Peru is a city that can be ascribed as the jewel in the crown of Latin America .

A feel of freedom

If you expect to speed your car anywhere in the streets of Kolkata , then behold , the Oracle of today says an emphatic NO. Kolkata is destined to be a city wallowing in the past glory and accustomed to drive the lane of progress slow and with jitters.

All over the city there are construction works going on for the Kolkata Metro initiatative. Theis has caused the most discomfort to all of us . There is an uncanny tendency of Kolkatans to honk at every street junction , hoping that the all mighty GOD will let his car whiz pass the clogged street in a jiffy, adds salt to the injured soul.

The only place spared for us is a stretch of road on the EM Bypass where you can ride your car at a speed , which is decent enough compared to international standard.

Thats where the commoner gets a taste of freedom. It's this small stretch of road which lets you feel , that yes you can conquer the world, no speed breakers , be it the long lasting CPI(M) or the ultra anti-left Mamata , can play spoilsport in your way.

A small piece of cake in this sweltering , polluting and problem ridden city. Lets hope that we continue to smile and let others smile. Jai Ho !!!!

Confessions of a brain dead

Hello there,
This is in the format of a mail composed out of severe soul searching. The zombie is back with his moronic verses to disseminate into this world. A voice that adds to the cacophony of the thousand other noises , that is not a muisic to our ears. But lo and behold. Lend me your time and attention. This is what this distraught soul craves for.
No more philosophying. I will try to reflect on some of my observations and take from the IT industry.
There is a dearth of very nimble quality in this domain. The filed has been teeming with very ordinary folks all arouns. The cry for excellence is rampant. There are a very few very well qualified people now in the industry who can analyze, innovate and make a difference. Mostly the gentry is full of "average Joe" kind of mortals. This really makes the milieu very ordinary .
The brand equity of the Indian IT industry had never been hailed high in the western world , they have been assumed as a source of mass IT workers. No innovation. No sophisticated product. No worth while sellable business product.
The IT greats like Murthy,Nilekani,Vivek etc helped the Industry to scale up with stuff augmentation etc , but there is miniscule scaling up the value chain with consultancy and high valued coding and designing.
The moot point that I wish to make is this that , for INdian IT industry to sustain it's upward mobility , we must focus on smart and intelligent human resources and not on the multitude of "average Joe's" who have butterfly in thier tummies . They are the one's who will innovate and deliver.
Thanks ..and signing off for the day
Ayan (One of the myriad IT workers)

when will the flowers bloom ?

My country India has been under the tremendous stress from some foreign insurgent groups. They play rhapsody with innocent lives . The road is completely lost for them. They are the messenger of Satan.
The innocent , commoner suffer all through. There seems to be no remedy. The process for peace is now on hold , to reflect the popular sentiments.
We are committed to create a world of love , compassion and understanding. We want the flowers to bloom in the garden , the nightingale to sing in all seasons ,colorful kites sway in the clear blue sky.God when will a day of this nature come ?
The rabbit and the puppy will play in my corridor , the sound of Tagore song will reverberate the whole area. This is the type of world I wish to sustain. The grass will sing that day !!!

When time stands still

Death the leveller. Death , with its cold hand doesn't spare anybody. Its the moment when time stops.Everything falls apart.
The near and dear one's are bereaved and crestfallen. The journey of man from the cradel to the grave seems very meaningful at this very time. The existenceof a human is very obvious and taken for granted on a usual day. But once the catastrophe falls over , the life gets an extra resonance . This last journey to the grave is the longest journey of a man. there are tears , chest thumping , memoirs and event rememberences.Time hangs heavy . It stands still. The usual glitter of the day seems to be like the darkest of nights. The bustle around the city doesn't seem to affect. The ever raging clash with the present seems to cease.
Peace dawns at last. The leaf drops from the twig.Life continues outside with sound and fervour. The music has lost its tune. But life continues !!!

My World

There is joy , there is love, there is compassion, there is colors , there is fulfillment in my world. I like most of us love to be in my own world. The mist , bright sunshine, the hush of falling leaves the distance sound of “silent night and holy night” is my world.

The portraits of colors are stroked in my canvas. There are colors of many different kinds encompassing my whole universe. I am self-contented in my envelop.

The poetic expression goes on and on. Droplets of dew hanging over the tip of the green twig , the yellow rusty dry leaf meandering its way down from the branch , the nightingale’s lonely song is a slice into my world. The element of magic realism may find some resonance in my theme world.
