Painless in PERU

Hello World,
The Zombie is back again !!! This time I am penning this blog from Peru .
By chance stroke of fate I have landed in Peru about 3 months back on an office assignment.

3 months is quite a decent time to contemplate and post some comments about this beautiful country.
The people here are quite convival and helpful albeit with the spanish tongue , it really becomes difficult to strike a meaningful conversation with them. These people are very helpful. Trust me .

The Peruvian food is unwittingly tilted for all things beef and pork. Pojo , the local name for chicken has become my diet of the day. Rice is the stapel meal for the average peruvians. This is in consonnence with us the Indians and specially the Bongs .

The people look very much like the average Indian. Their stature , built all resemble the brown skin of a Latino, very close to the Indian complexion. So we are at home here !!!

The confluence of the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountain marks the landscape of Lima the capital city of Peru. The weather is pleasant significantly around the year. The winter months are marked by mists and fleecy drizzle and chilly winds. the air is fresh and the sky is blue. The grass is green and the birds are colourful.

A treat for people who love adventure sports and foods !!! So Peru is a city that can be ascribed as the jewel in the crown of Latin America .

A feel of freedom

If you expect to speed your car anywhere in the streets of Kolkata , then behold , the Oracle of today says an emphatic NO. Kolkata is destined to be a city wallowing in the past glory and accustomed to drive the lane of progress slow and with jitters.

All over the city there are construction works going on for the Kolkata Metro initiatative. Theis has caused the most discomfort to all of us . There is an uncanny tendency of Kolkatans to honk at every street junction , hoping that the all mighty GOD will let his car whiz pass the clogged street in a jiffy, adds salt to the injured soul.

The only place spared for us is a stretch of road on the EM Bypass where you can ride your car at a speed , which is decent enough compared to international standard.

Thats where the commoner gets a taste of freedom. It's this small stretch of road which lets you feel , that yes you can conquer the world, no speed breakers , be it the long lasting CPI(M) or the ultra anti-left Mamata , can play spoilsport in your way.

A small piece of cake in this sweltering , polluting and problem ridden city. Lets hope that we continue to smile and let others smile. Jai Ho !!!!
